( What is your priority, Fame,
Wealth or Eternal life?
)
Reading :
Gospel of Mark 10: 17-27
1) A young man searching for the eternal life ( That's very wise)
a) He wasn't looking for wealth ( He was wealthy )
b} He wasn't looking for fame ( He was a ruler ..( Luke 19:18 )
2) A comparison between him and our youth today
a) Our youth are not looking for eternal life , they looking up to
science
b) They looking for self pleasure.
3) The importance of the eternal life .
a) Money and Science failed to give us life for ever
b) All philosophers are dead, only Jesus is alive
4) The price of the eternal life ( The blood of Jesus. 1Peter1:18 )
5) This young man have a desire to have eternal life, and he knows all the
commandment since he was a child ( Jesus loved him )
but he had two problems a) He depended on his wealth not on God.
b) He failed to see Jesus as a Son of God who has life, he looked at Him
as a regular good teacher.
6) Jesus death with his problems.
a) Give your money to the poor ( Depend on God only .)
b) He was invited to follow Jesus but it was hard for him to carry
the cross. ( Jesus called the disciples and they left every thing and
followed Jesus, and with Him they never needed any thing else.)
7)God did not want us to walk in two ways
a) Either God or money , either God or family and fame.
b) Either your believe or the truth in Jesus.
8)The Bible teach us about two rich men who came to Jesus and left very
joyful.
a) The Ethiopian eunuch ( Acts 8:26 )
b) Zacchaeus ( Luke 19 :2 )
In conclusion
a) wealth ,fame and science does not give us life . ( God is not against
wealth. )
b) your desires to eternal life is not enough to follow Jesus .(
You have to accept Him as a personal savior )
